According to a statistics of an investigation, there were 120,300 domestic and foreign visitors altogether on the Spring Festival in 2009 year.  Over half of visitors stayed one night in Yangshuo among them-- up to 61,000 persons. Yangshuo local government puts more efforts to build the atmosphere in New Year even which more than before in this year to let 120,000 Chinese and foreign visitors celebrate the Spring Festival happily here.

Chinese and foreign visitors were attracted by the unique beautiful mountains and rivers scene, Chinese and Western culture blended in the west street of Yangshuo country, and the various way of going on tour. Before festival, Yangshuo country puts out a serial propaganda activities "Go to Yangshuo to celebrate the New Year together!"in many domestic medias to invite Chinese and foreign visitors to go to Yangshuo and celebrate the New Year. Meanwhile, this county still invests a million funds to dress the country town and surrounding area in order to make festive atmospheres with hanging up lanterns and colored flags.

During the Spring Festival, Yangshuo has also prepared the abundant and sumptuous culture performances in the New Year. There were theatrical performances every day in the west street. The county leaders still invited foreign visitors to share the grand banquet of the eve of the lunar New Year in the 30 evening and sent the covert payment to them. And then they hold dragons and lions to greet in the center of the West Street at the first day in the New Year. Meanwhile, the parks and the squares in Yangshuo ,  and all villages and towns organized on the rich , colorful and various ways of folk performances and art performances. Yangshuo government still inherited the method for many years that to advice and lead without punishing to the nonlocal driver in order to make visitors enjoy themselves without any worried in Yangshuo. In peak period of the golden week, hotels that have scale slightly in the county town are at full strength basically.
