Because of heavy rain, the roads were collapsed which lead to the traffic jam in Guilin.

    From the 10th April to the 12th April, the heavy rain falls in succession in Guilin, so that the traffic is obstructed which is because rain happens to destroy and collapse in some highways of mountains area. According to the contingency plan rushing to repair in rainy season water, the Highway Administration Bureau of Guilin requires every county Highway Administration Bureau to strengthen patrol the way in the rainy day, allocate the mechanical equipment rushing to repair, and guarantee the highways are safe and smooth. Meanwhile the Highway Administration Bureau of Guilin reminds vehicular traffic drivers must observance the vehicle signs which were set up by maintenance workers. The drivers must obey commanding and drive carefully while undergoing the landslide highway section.

    There are many up-slopes in many highway section of the national road Line 321--from Wantian in Lingui to Heping in Longsheng collapsed under the heavy rain falling in succession.  K686+500£­600 under-slopes collapsed, and the safe protective wall and small half of road surface are destroyed which influences the traffic safety.In the early morning the 12th April, it was took place up-slopes collapsed in the national road Line 321 K708 +200--Lehuang reservoir in Longsheng, whose collapses in amount is up to more than 400 cubic meters. And the road surface is covered by the stone which in order to  the traffic is cut off for a time.The maintenance workers working in the Highway Administration Bureau of Longsheng reported their higher authorities in time after finding the case. Fighting bravely together by the fire control soldiers and the maintenance workers in the county,  the potential safety hazards of this dangerous highway section were removed.

    The geological structure of Longsheng county in Guilin is Danxia Geomorphologic Landscape whose structure is that the massif geology is flexible so that such geological calamities as the landslide and mud-rock flow ,etc. easily happen during rainy season. We remind visitors that the visitors should especially take care while visiting Longsheng spine in rainy season, and avoid stranded in Longsheng spine to delay the back tracking flight.
