It is impossible to imagine this fantastic place, you have to dream! Located in the warm, subtropical south, Li River scenery is known throughout the world, a recurring motif in Chinese paintings, and a major tourist attraction. Li River is one of the most cleanest rivers in China. Originated from the Cat Mountain of Xing'an county, the total length of Li River is 160 kilometers.

Along the both sides of Li Rivers, erected the karst hills of Guilin. These remarkable hills owe their peculiar shapes to the mildly acid waters of the Li River, whose meandering course over eons of time has corroded away their bases until only the rocky cores remain. Each of these karst hills has its unique shape, some of them are even like animals.

On the Li River, fishermen and birds perch on bamboo rafts, a partnership that goes back more than a thousand years. These days, competition from modern fishing techniques means the local fishermen can't make a living from traditional cormorant fishing alone. And this 1300-year-old tradition is now practiced mostly to entertain tourists from all over the world. If you are interested in a traditional fishing, you can rent a bamboo raft and fish on Li River by yourself or with the local fishermen; or even if you are not interested in fishing, you can also rent a bamboo raft and stay on the raft for a rest or sightseeing.

Accredited by The National Bureau of Tourism of China in 2007, Li River is a AAAAA scenic spot. It's an invaluable asset of Chinese natural resorts, it's also Guilin's pride.
